Access Wetlands Video feeds and Weather data (mock-ups currently):
1) If you don’t already have it, download to your computer (just once) the free (NPO) VLC Media Player: DownloadVLC , then
2) Once VLC has installed on your computer, return to this page and click this link: HamaWetlandsCam10 and select “Allow” or “Open” if it’s offered. You’ll be provided access to color auto-infrared Camera 10 at a station sponsored by “Yoga Under the Palms” in Kailua. — or —
3) Click HamaWetlandsWeather for current Weather conditions at the same station. Click the map at the bottom of that display for nearby weather stations.
(There are retail streaming companies which offer similar services. Even so, using the VLC application results in better quality video at no cost to the viewer or The Hamakua Group.)
VLC Media Player is a free and open source media player, encoder, and streamer made by the volunteers of the VideoLAN community. VLC uses its internal codecs, works on essentially every popular platform, and can read almost all files, CDs, DVDs, network streams, capture cards and other media formats!
