Pali Lanes to be included in the Hawaii Register of Historic Places –

Pats on the back to Art Machado and the Save Pali Lanes Group for their dedication in making this happen. A significant victory for us mere Kailuans. If you want to influence the future, first you’ve got to step up. They did, and they did. Nicely done.

THE HAWAII HISTORIC PLACES REVIEW BOARD

will meet on FRIDAY November 30, 2018. Your PRESENCE (with or without oral testimony) will greatly support the argument to include Pali Lanes in the Hawaii Register of Historic Places and to recommend its inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. The meeting begins at 9:30 am and the Pali Lanes item is first on the agenda.  Meeting location:

The next community meeting of the #SavePaliLanes group will be at Pali Lanes / Hale Kealoha Restaurant on Sunday Oct. 28 at 5:00 pm (not 3:30 pm as previously.)

Agenda to include more prep for the group’s presentation to the Hawaii Historic Preservation Division and perhaps more information about the State of Hawaii’s potential purchase of the Pali Lanes property.

‘Olelo TV is doing a story on the #SavePaliLanes effort. They’ll be on site to observe / record the meeting and I expect do a few interviews.
